Harvard Heavyweights Win Sprint Race at Boot of the Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Harvard
Heavyweight crew won the OG+E 500 Stampede Grand Final and the Head
Race at the Oklahoma City University Boot of the Oklahoma Saturday
on the Oklahoma River.
Harvard won the 4,000 meter head race Saturday afternoon with a
time of 12:39.09, 57 seconds ahead of second-place Oklahoma City
University. In the second race of the day, the Crimson edged out
the Stars to earn the crown in the 500 meter sprint event.
The Crimson boat was made up of seniors Joe Lin (coxswain), Blake
Pucsek (stroke) Richard Anderson (six), Spencer Livingston (five),
Lukens Orthwein (four), Karl Kirt (three), Ivan Posavec (two) and
Duncan Gilchrist (bow) and junior Anthony Locke (seven).
The Crimson returns to action Oct. 17-18 in the 45th Head of the
Charles.
