Kirsten Green returns for her fourth season at Harvard as the
director of men's basketball operations for the Crimson.
The first full-time operations staffer at the school, Green came
to Harvard after spending 10 seasons in the same role at the
University of Michigan and Seton Hall University under Tommy
Amaker. During the 2009-10 season, the Crimson earned a
postseason berth, as Harvard competed at the CollegeInsider.com
Tournament and won a program-best 21 games.
At Michigan, Green assisted with the day-to-day administrative operations of the basketball office. She oversaw team travel operations and served as a team liaison with several areas of the athletic department and university. She also assisted with the Michigan Basketball School as well as the Michigan Basketball Coaches' Clinic. During her time at Michigan, Green also implemented and edited the Maize & Blue Review newsletter and implemented a basketball alumni outreach program. The Wolverines captured the 2004 NIT Championship during Green's tenure and achieved three 20-win seasons.
Green's professional career began under Amaker as his operations director at Seton Hall from 1997-2001. The Pirates advanced to the post-season all four years during Green's tenure while making a trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2000.
Green is a 1996 graduate of Duke University where she earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. While at Duke, she served as a four-year manager for the men's basketball program. Green, who was with the team during its run to the 1994 NCAA championship game, served as head manager as a senior when the Blue Devils won the 1997 Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championship.
