CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Opening the 2017-18 season as well as showcasing the newly-renovated Lavietes Pavilion, Harvard men's basketball will host its annual Crimson Madness event on Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. Admission is free, and the doors will open at 6 p.m. The action will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
This year's event will once again feature a dunk contest, 3-point competition and the annual Crimson and Black scrimmage, as well as a special welcome from The Thomas G. Stemberg '71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Basketball Tommy Amaker. Along with the action on the court, fans in attendance will be treated to free giveaways, free food, student promotions and a postgame autograph session. The first 100 students will receive free jerseys.
The dunk contest will feature senior captain Chris Egi, sophomore Robert Baker and freshmen Danilo Djuricic and Rio Haskett. The field is wide open, as last year's defending champion, Zena Edosomwan, graduated. The 3-point contest also will see a new winner, as recent graduate Corbin Miller earned the crown a year ago. The field features juniors Corey Johnson and Robbie Feinberg and sophomores Bryce Aiken, Seth Towns, Justin Bassey and Henry Welsh.
Following the dunk and 3-point contests will be an intrasquad scrimmage with two 12-minute halves. Lineups for the game are listed below.
