Men’s Basketball Welcomes Three as Class of 2021

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Tommy Amaker, The Thomas G. Stemberg '71 Family Endowed Coach for Harvard Men's Basketball, announced the addition of three incoming freshmen as members of the class of 2021; Danilo Djuricic, Reed Farley and Rio Haskett.

"We are ecstatic about having Rio, Danilo, and Reed join the Harvard basketball family this upcoming year," said Amaker. "All three of these young men come from terrific families and excellent high school programs with a rich tradition of success. I know our entire community is looking forward to seeing them excel at Harvard on and off the court."

Danilo Djuricic | Forward | 6-8 | 210 | Brampton, Ontario | St. Michael's College School

Before Harvard:
Four-year starter at power forward for St. Michael's College School … Played AAU for CIA Bounce on the Nike EYBL circuit … Two-time captain of St. Michael's and captain of the Canadian Men's National U16 and U17 teams … U16 FIBA Americas silver medalist in 2015 with Team Canada … Finished fifth at the 2016 U17 World Championships … Helped St. Michael's to two OFSAA AAAA Championships (2015, 2017) … First team National Preparatory Association (NPA) in 2017 …  Earned NPA Academic Excellence Award (2017) … Three-time BioSteel All-Canadian … Named to Toronto High School Basketball top-50 all-time players in 2016 … Cousin Brooke Jovanovich '21 also attends Harvard as a member of the women's hockey team.

Four-year starter for La Jolla … Played AAU for Earl Watson Elite on the Under Armour circuit … Three-time captain at La Jolla … San Diego All-CIF first team … San Diego All-Academic team … 2017 Eastern League first team honoree … Second-leading scorer in La Jolla history … San Diego CIF Division II finalist in 2016 … San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic team … Grandfather, Tom Leverte, played basketball at West Virginia and Seton Hall … Sisters Ryan and Clare play volleyball at Williams College and MIT, respectively.

Three-year starter and senior captain at L.C. Bird … Played AAU for Team Loaded VA on the Adidas circuit … Two-time first team all-conference … Two-time all-region first team selection … Two-time first team 5A all-state honoree … 804 All-Star Game selection … Helped L.C. Bird to a 90-11 record … 2016 Virginia 5A State tournament runner-up … Lead LC Bird to the 2017 Virginia 5A state title … Father, Mario Haskett Sr., played basketball at St. Paul's College.
