CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's basketball head coach Tommy Amaker will be featured in a panel discussion during the inaugural Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Madness event being held Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Revere Hotel at 6:30 p.m.
The evening will include a cocktail reception, silent auction and dinner along with the panel discussion. ESPN Insider Jeff Goodman will moderate the discussion which will include Amaker, alongside fellow head coaches Jim Christian (Boston College), Joe Jones (Boston University), Milan Brown (Holy Cross), Bill Coen (Northeastern) and Derek Kellogg (UMass).
The fundraising event will benefit the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer initiative and will also serve as a preview of what is to come at the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tripleheader. The tripleheader, slated for the parquet floor of TD Garden Nov. 16, will pit Harvard against Holy Cross in the nightcap at 5:30 p.m., following matchups between Northeastern and Boston University (12:30 p.m.), and Boston College and UMass (3 p.m.).
