Wright Selected to NABC Division I All-Star Game
Crimson co-captain Keith Wright earned All-Ivy League second-team honors this season (Gil Talbot).
NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Harvard forward Keith Wright was one of 20 seniors from across the country chosen to play in the upcoming National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2012 Reese's Division I All-Star Game.
Wright, a two-time co-captain of the Crimson, will take part in the All-Star Game, which will be played as part of the NCAA Final Four weekend. The game will be held Friday, March 30 at 5:35 EST at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The game, which will be broadcast Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m. EST on TruTV, will feature 20 of the nation's most outstanding seniors from Division I, as selected by the NABC.
Wright, a native of Suffolk, Va., earned NABC All-District honors in each of the last two seasons and garnered All-Ivy League second-team accolades after being named the Ancient Eight Player of the Year in 2011. As a senior, he led Crimson to its second straight Ivy League title, as well as Harvard's first NCAA tournament appearance since 1946.
Wright led Harvard with 8.1 rebounds per game and stood second on the squad with 10.4 points per contest. He made 58.6 percent of his field-goal attempts from the floor and recorded five double-doubles, while scoring in double figures in 17 games.
Wright concluded his career 16th in school history with 1,178 points, fifth with 743 rebounds and first with 149 career blocks.
