Keith Wright and the Crimson stand at 26-4 overall and will face Vanderbilt in the second round of the NCAA tournament Thursday (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior co-captain Keith Wright and junior Kyle Casey have been tabbed to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District team for District 13, it was announced Wednesday.
Wright, who also earned NABC All-District team honors last year, is averaging 10.7 points per game and leads the team with 8.1 rebounds per contest during his senior season, while serving as co-captain of the Crimson for the second straight year. Wright, a native of Suffolk, Va., has shot 59.4 percent from the floor and recorded five double-doubles, while scoring in double figures in 17 games this season.
With his stellar senior year, Wright now stands 16th in school history with 1,170 points, fifth with 734 rebounds and first with 149 career blocks.
Casey, who hails from Medford, Mass., paces the Crimson with 11.7 points per game, while standing second with 5.5 boards per contest. Casey has scored in double digits in 17 contests and has blocked 35 shots, giving him 90 rejections in his career, good for fifth in the Crimson record books. Casey also led Harvard with 11.3 points per game during conference play.
