Wright Tabbed Ivy League Player of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior co-captain Keith Wright of the Harvard men’s basketball team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week. The senior led the Crimson to wins over Utah, No. 20 Florida State and Central Florida to capture the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis tournament championship in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Wright, a native of Suffolk, Va., was named the tournament’s MVP after averaging 10 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. In the opener, a 28-point rout of Utah, Wright scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting and contributed seven rebounds and three blocks.
Wright added another seven boards in the championship against Central Florida and scored 12 points, while going 4-of-6 from the field, to finish 11-of-16 (68.8%) during the tournament.
The Crimson received 101 votes in the latest AP poll and 61 votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Harvard, now 6-0 overall this season, continues the regular season at Vermont Dec. 1.
