Curry Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Harvard freshman guard Brandyn Curry has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for a second consecutive time in an announcement by the league office on Monday morning.
Harvard has had three different players earn top rookie honors with Dee Giger and Kyle Casey (four times) earning the nods along with Curry's two selections.
Harvard expanded its program record for victories with a 67-66 win at Penn on Friday night. Harvard finished the regular season with a 21-7 overall mark and a 10-4 record in league games. The win at Penn gave Harvard a program record with 10 road/neutral wins on the season and marked the Crimson's first season sweep of Penn since the 1941-42 season.
Harvard will await a possible bid to the NIT, CBI or CIT in the coming weeks.
Curry averaged 10.5 points, 5.0 assists and 4.5 rebounds in two games for the Crimson. At Penn on Saturday, he recorded a career-high nine assists with 10 points and no turnovers in a victory. He shot 45 percent from 3-point range and had a team-high 11 points Saturday at Princeton.
Curry was joined on the Honor Roll by Jeremy Lin, who averaged 13.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals in two games for the Crimson. He made all four of his 3-point attempts during the weekend and had a big night at Penn with 19 points (8-10 FG), six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
At Princeton on Saturday, Lin recorded his 400th career assist (401) to become the first player in the history of the Ivy League to record 1,450 points (1,471), 450 rebounds (487), 400 assists (401) and 200 steals (224).

victories as well as a program best mark of 10 road/neutral
