Lin Named NABC All-District First Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Harvard junior guard Jeremy Lin has been named to the National
Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District First Team in
an announcement made late Wednesday night.
Lin was joined by four other players on the District 13 first team and five players on the second team to earn recognition. There are 24 districts in all and a total of 120 players will move on for All-America consideration. Lin, the only junior on the first team, was joined by Cornell’s Ryan Wittman, Dartmouth’s Alex Barnett, Navy’s Kaleo Kina and American’s Garrison Carr.
The second team featured Cornell’s Louis Dale and Jeff Foote, Lehigh’s Zahir Carrington, Brown’s Matt Mullery and Chicago State’s David Holston.
As of the latest statistical release by
the Ivy League, Lin ranks among the Ivy League’s top 10 in
every statistical category. He ranked first in steals (2.5), second
in assists (4.3), third in scoring (18.0), 10th in free throw
percentage (.745), first in made FTs (120), first in FTs attempted
(161), 10th in rebounding (5.3), 10th in blocked shots (16), sixth
in field goal percentage (.508) and seventh in 3-point percentage
(.409).
