CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Harvard freshman Hannah Pearce was named Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the league announced today (Oct. 9). Pearce had three goals combined in games against Brown and No. 8 Boston College this past weekend.

Pearce recorded her second career two-goal game on Friday in a 7-0 win against Brown. She made it 3-0 in the first half by putting a rebound off a penalty corner shot by Bente van Vlijmen, then notched her second goal of the season on a great low shot off a penalty corner at 52:38.

On Sunday, Pearce scored her third goal of the weekend, Harvard's lone goal in a 2-1 shootout loss at No. 8 Boston College. Pearce tied the game at 21:36 with a well-placed penalty corner into the lower right corner. A native of Johannesburg, South Africa, Pearce has six goals on 20 shots this season. She is third on the team with a .300 shooting percentage (min. 10 shots).

Harvard will continue Ivy League play with a road contest at Cornell next Saturday (Oct. 14) at 12 p.m. The game will air on the Ivy League Network.
