Tassopoulos Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard freshman
goalie Cynthia Tassopoulos has been named Ivy League Rookie of the
Week in an announcement from the league office Tuesday
afternoon.
Tassopoulos registered 22 saves over the course of two
non-conference games last week. She recorded 12 saves against No.
10 Massachusetts, holding the Minutewomen scoreless from the field.
Four days later, Tassopoulos made 10 stops against
Michigan.
The Dallas native held both teams scoreless in the second halves
and made a combined 15 saves, eight against UMass and seven against
the Wolverines.
Tassopoulos is the second Harvard freshman to earn Rookie of the
Week honors this season. Teammate Emma Keller was recognized in the
second week of the season.
Sophomore back Pilar Mayora was named to the Ivy League Honor Roll
after making three defensive saves in the two non-league games.
