Ron Crook enters his eighth season as Harvard's offensive line coach in 2010.\
Since joining the Crimson staff in 2003, Crook has seen his offensive line provide the foundation for the Ivy League's all-time rushing leader in Clifton Dawson ’07, while eight of Crook's players have achieved first-team All-Ivy League status a combined 11 times. Tackle James Williams ’10 was a three-time All-America and first-team All-Ivy selection while the Crimson has had a total of 13 players earn all-league honors in the past three seasons alone. In 2009, four of Harvard's linemen took home all-league honors.
Tackles Brian Lapham ’06 and Will Johnson ’06 were both two-time first-team picks, while center Frank Fernandez '07 was chosen for the 2007 Hula Bowl in 2006.
Crook has 20 years of collegiate experience, including stints at Illinois, West Liberty State, Clarion and Cincinnati.
At Illinois, Crook helped coach the offensive line and worked with All-Big Ten players Dave Diehl and 2001 All-America Tony Pashos, who were both selected in the 2003 NFL draft.
Crook is currently in his second tour of duty with Harvard head coach Tim Murphy. He was a graduate assistant on Murphy's staff at Cincinnati, when the Bearcats finished an impressive 8-3 in the 1993 season and won the IFA championship.
At West Liberty State, Crook was first an offensive line coach and then offensive coordinator. The Hilltoppers won the 2000 WVIAC Championship, while the 2001 team ranked first in the conference in three offensive categories and second in three others. A decade earlier, Crook broke into the coaching ranks at West Liberty State. He spent the 1989 season as a student assistant working with the tight ends and the 1990-92 seasons as an assistant coach with the offensive line.
Crook has also coached at West Virginia Tech (1999), Glenville State (1997-98) and Clarion (1994-96). He was part of NCAA Division II playoff teams at Glenville State and Clarion.
Crook is a 1989 graduate of West Liberty State, where he earned a degree in physical education. He and his wife, Stacy, reside in Watertown, Mass., with their sons, Andrew and Cian, and their daughter, Kenley.
