Dave Borgonzi is in his third season as an assistant with the Harvard football program in 2011-12. He assists with the Crimson defensive secondary.
Borgonzi recruits in Massachusetts and Connecticut as well as the Atlantic section of the United States including Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
In 2009, Harvard ranked sixth nationally in pass efficiency defense with three players being named all-league and cornerback Matthew Hanson earning Rookie of the Year honors. In 2010, the Crimson ranked 16th nationally in total defense.
Prior to arriving in Cambridge, Borgonzi spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Syracuse where he worked as the Orange's assistant defensive line coach while also assisting the program's recruiting and special teams efforts. While at Syracuse, Borganzi worked toward an advanced degree in education.
Borgonzi was a three-year starter while an undergraduate at Amherst College. Named a team captain in his senior year, Borgonzi graduated with a degree in law, jurisprudence and social thought.
Borgonzi currently resides in Everett.
