CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2013 Harvard Football schedule is now available with all 10 dates in place. After enjoying six home games a year ago, the Crimson returns to a balanced schedule with five home and five road games.
Included in the road schedule is the program's first trip to the state of California since defeating Oregon in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1, 1920. That road game will come Sept. 21, 2013 at the University of San Diego with the game time still to be announced. Harvard defeated San Diego this past season by a score of 28-13 at Harvard Stadium.
The Crimson opens its home and Ivy League schedule the following week, Sept. 28 as it hosts Brown in a 7 p.m. game at The Stadium. Harvard is 7-0 all-time under the lights at home and will look for its third-straight win over Brown after hanging 45 points on the Bears in Providence, R.I. in 2012.
After opening each season since 2000 against Bay State foe Holy Cross, that meeting will move to Week Three of the 2013 campaign with the teams squaring off in Worcester, Mass. Oct. 5 in a start time still to be determined.
Following an Oct. 12 road game at Cornell (time tbd), the Crimson returns home for three straight games at The Stadium. On Oct. 19 Harvard plays its final non-conference game when the Crimson hosts Lafayette with the time still to be determined. Harvard then steps back into league play for games against Princeton (Oct. 26, time tbd) and Dartmouth (Nov. 2, time tbd).
After a road game at Columbia on Nov. 9 (time tbd), Harvard plays its final home game Nov. 16 at noon against Penn. The Crimson then travels to Yale for the 130th playing of The Game in New Haven, Conn.
