Harvard quarterback Colton Chapple and Plymouth State defensive back Christian Mulcahy received the New England Football Writers' Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Gold Helmet Awards for week six of the 2011 college football season.

The Harvard quarterback sparked a second- half comeback for the Crimson, passing for three touchdowns after halftime to lift Harvard to a 41-31 victory. Cornell drew first blood in the contest, but Chapple responded finding Adam Chrissis on an 11-yard score late in the first quarter. Trailing midway through the third quarter, the Alpharetta, Ga., native would breakout tallying three scores in under eight minutes. Chapple completed touchdown passes of 11, 42, 27 and 26 yards in the victory, amassing a career-high 414 yards in the process.

Plymouth State's Mulcahy was a jack of all trades on Saturday, producing on defense, kick returns, and kicked the game-deciding field goal, as the Panthers defeated MIT 30-27 on Saturday. Listed as defensive back on the roster, Mulcahy secured two interceptions, recorded a career-long 62-yard punt return, a 57-yard kickoff return, kicked three extra points and hit a 42-yard field goal to secure the victory. This is the second week in a row that the Norwich, Conn., native has turned in this kind of performance, tallying two interceptions, two tackles, four extra-points and a kick return for a touchdown against Nichols the weekend prior.
