CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard quarterback Colton Chapple and Plymouth State defensive back Christian Mulcahy received the New England Football Writers' Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Gold Helmet Awards for week six of the 2011 college football season.
The Harvard quarterback sparked a second- half comeback for the Crimson, passing for three touchdowns after halftime to lift Harvard to a 41-31 victory. Cornell drew first blood in the contest, but Chapple responded finding Adam Chrissis on an 11-yard score late in the first quarter. Trailing midway through the third quarter, the Alpharetta, Ga., native would breakout tallying three scores in under eight minutes. Chapple completed touchdown passes of 11, 42, 27 and 26 yards in the victory, amassing a career-high 414 yards in the process.
