Scales Named Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Harvard freshman running back
Treavor Scales has been named as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week
in an announcement from the league office Monday afternoon.
Scales scored the first two rushing touchdowns of his career and
added 92 rushing yards on 23 carries (4.0 yards per carry) in a
28-10 win at Cornell on Saturday. The Stone Mountain, Ga. native
had touchdown runs of five and three yards as Harvard remained atop
the league standings with a 2-0 record.
Scales was a part of a Harvard rushing attack that totaled 251
yards on the ground and accounted all four touchdowns against the
Big Red.
Fellow running back Gino Gordon rushed for 137 yards on 22
carries (6.2 yards per carry) and the eventual game-winning
touchdown in the game. He added 13 receiving yards in his second
career 100-yard rushing game.
Thomas Hull was also named to the weekly Honor Roll, joining
Gordon. Of his six punts against Cornell, Hull pinned three of them
inside the Big Red's 10-yard line including two inside the
five-yard line.
