CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Garnering his second all-region accolade of the season, sophomore outfielder Patrick Robinson of the Harvard baseball team has been named to the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Northeast Region second team, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
One of three outfielders on the second team, the Melbourne, Florida native enjoyed a breakout sophomore campaign, hitting .373, which was second-best in the league, while ranking fifth nationally with a .738 slugging percentage. Robinson led the Crimson with nine home runs, which is the seventh-most for Harvard in a single season, and ranked second with 34 RBI. 25 of his 47 hits went for extra bases. A member of the All-Ivy first team, Robinson was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and All-NEIBA first team honoree.
Robinson was one of seven Ivy League players to be recognized. He helped lead the Crimson to its winningest season since 2006.
