Harvard baseball and will raise funds for the Vs. Cancer Foundation this season.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard baseball team has announced the creation of a fundraiser to benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation beginning with the 2014 season. The Crimson has set its sight high with a goal of $10,000 for the cause to fight cancer.
"Cancer affects the lives of so many people around the world and we have an opportunity through our association with Vs. Cancer to use our platform as representatives of Harvard University to help bring awareness to pediatric cancer," said Bill Decker, the Joseph J. O'Donnell '67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball. "Our coaching staff and players are excited about our partnership with Vs. Cancer and the Dana- Farber Cancer Center. "
The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. Fans and alumni are encouraged to read more about the foundation here.
