    Earning his first career start in the CanAm League, a professional league spanning Canada and the United States, former Harvard baseball standout Danny Moskovits led the Quebec Capitales to a 3-0 victory over the Troi-Rivieres Aigles this weekend.

  • NEIBA All-Star Game to be Named for Joe Walsh

    The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association will name its annual all-star game in the late Joe Walsh’s honor, the association announced. The NEIBA Joe Walsh All-Star Game will be played Sunday, June 1 at LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Mass., at 7 p.m., and will bear the former Crimson skipper’s name moving forward.
  • Martin's First Team Nod Leads Crimson's Three All-Ivy Honors

    Junior outfielder Mike Martin and seniors Carlton Bailey and Kyle Larrow earned All-Ivy honors, the league announced Friday. Martin becomes the 30th Crimson to be named to the First Team, while Bailey and Larrow earned Second Team and Honorable Mention nods, respectively.

  • Baseball Takes Yale to Extras Twice, but Falls 1-0 and 7-6 in New Haven

    The Harvard baseball team dropped a pair of heartbreaking, extra-inning contests to Yale on Sunday. The Crimson (10-24, 5-11 Ivy) fell to the Bulldogs 17-19 (9-7 Ivy) in Game 1 of the doubleheader, 1-0, in eight innings, before suffering a second late loss in Game 2, 7-6, in 10 innings.

    Riding the arm of freshman Nick Gruener in Game 1 versus Yale, the Harvard baseball team stole the opener, 6-2, but fell to the Bulldogs in Game 2, 8-2. Harvard (10-22, 5-9 Ivy) remains a pair of games behind Yale (15-19, 7-7 Ivy) with two games remaining in the series.

    Following a series split with Red Rolfe Division foe Brown last weekend, and a two-game split with Princeton in a makeup series, the Harvard baseball team is set to test division leader and archrival Yale as the Crimson (9-21, 4-8 Ivy League) take on the Bulldogs (14-18, 6-6 Ivy League) in New Haven, Conn., Saturday and Sunday.

    Two weeks after its series with Princeton was rained out, the Harvard baseball team split the two meetings with the Tigers at Clarke Field, taking the first game in extra innings, 4-3, before dropping Game 2, 6-2.

    The Harvard baseball team dropped the third game of its series with Brown in a classic pitchers’ duel, but bounced back in a big way in game four of the weekend to muster a series split with the Bears. After falling 1-0 in to open Sunday at O’Donnell Field, the Crimson lit up its Red Rolfe Division foe, 13-3.

    Thanks to a seven-run seventh in game two, the Harvard baseball team split the first two games of the four-game series with Brown. After falling to the Bears (7-16, 1-9 Ivy League) in game one, 5-4, the Crimson (7-19, 2-6 Ivy League) came back with bats on fire to take game two from the visitors, 10-8.
  • Baseball Begins Red Rolfe Division Play, Hosts Brown for Four

    Following its thrilling Beanpot win over Boston College on Wednesday, the Harvard baseball team is set to wrap up its season-long nine-game homestand this weekend when Red Rolfe Division foe Brown makes the trek north for four games. The Crimson (6-18, 1-5 Ivy League) and Bears (6-15, 0-8 Ivy League) will do battle Saturday starting at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. in a crucial divisional matchup.
  • Harvard Baseball to Raise Funds for Vs. Cancer Foundation

    The Harvard baseball team has announced the creation of a fundraiser to benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation beginning with the 2014 season. The Crimson has set its sight high with a goal of $10,000 for the cause to fight cancer.

    The Harvard baseball team secured its spot in the 2014 Baseball Beanpot finals with a come-from-behind victory over Boston College at O’Donnell Field on Wednesday in the first round. The Crimson (6-18, 1-5 Ivy League) fell behind 4-0 to the Eagles (10-22, 2-10 ACC) before inching its way back and using a three-run eighth inning to earn the win.
  • Baseball Hosts Boston College in Beanpot First Round Wednesday

    The Harvard baseball team is set to welcome Boston College to O’Donnell Field for the first round of the 2014 Baseball Beanpot on Wednesday. The Crimson (5-18, 1-6 Ivy League) and Eagles (10-20, 2-13 ACC) will meet on the diamond for the 109th time in the series history and for the 18th time in the Beanpot.
  • Baseball Suffers a Pair of Setbacks to Columbia, 12-6 and 8-3

    The Harvard baseball team got off to a hot start against visiting Columbia early on Sunday, but the Lions’ bats awoke and eventually took both games of the Ivy League doubleheader at O’Donnell Field. Harvard fell in two to Columbia, 12-6 and 8-3, to cap off its first weekend at home.

    The Harvard baseball team suffered a pair of setbacks during its home opener on Saturday, dropping a doubleheader to Penn, 7-3 and 9-6. The Crimson (5-16, 1-3 Ivy) kept things interesting in both sides of the twinbill, but the Quakers (13-10, 6-0 Ivy) used late runs to quell Harvard.

    Mother Nature played a role in Harvard's scheduling a week ago, forcing the postponement of the Princeton series and the moving of the Cornell series to the middle of the week, but the Crimson looks to return to regularity this weekend with visits from Penn and Columbia to open up a 10-game homestand. Harvard (5-14, 1-1 Ivy League) welcomes in Penn on Saturday for an Ancient Eight doubleheader, followed by Columbia on Sunday for two.
