Tanner Anderson earned his second win of the season Sunday against Brown (Brian Panoff '98).
PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard sophomore Tanner Anderson has been named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Anderson hurled a complete game masterpiece against Brown in game one of Sunday's doubleheader. The Tampa, Fla., native tossed 10 innings and fanned five while allowing just six hits and two unearned runs to earn his second victory of the season. He threw a total of 138 pitches on the afternoon, locating 92 of them for strikes.
It is the third weekly award won by the Crimson this season. He joins Sean Poppen, who won Pitcher of the Week March 26, and DJ Link, who garnered the Rookie of the Week nod April 9, as conference award recipients this season.
The Crimson closes out conference play this weekend with four contests against Dartmouth. Harvard will visit the Big Green for two games Saturday before hosting a pair of games Sunday. If the Crimson is able to win all four games, it would force a one-game playoff with Dartmouth for the Red Rolfe Division title. On Monday, Harvard will wrap up the regular season against Boston College at Fenway Park in the Beanpot consolation at 2 p.m.
