Uday Narottam gained his first career save as Harvard University baseball topped Cal Poly, 9-4, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Baggett Stadium.
Closing the four-game series on a two-game win streak, the Crimson (6-5) took a 3-0 lead through two innings and extended the margin to as large as 9-2 in the top of the sixth on the way to the victory over the host Mustangs (7-9).
Baldwin finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBIs, a double, and a run scored. Matson threw 5.1 innings in the start, allowing four runs on seven hits with no walks and five strikeouts. Narottam tossed 3.2 innings of scoreless and hitless relief with two strikeouts and one walk.
The Crimson totaled 11 hits in the contest with four Harvard student-athletes posting multiple hits in the game.

Logan Bravo brought in a run in the top of the first before sophomore
Ben Rounds and Baldwin each drove in a run in the second to give Harvard a 3-0 lead. After the Mustangs pulled within 3-2 in the third, Harvard tallied six runs from the fourth to the sixth to pull ahead 9-2. That rally included a two-run double from Baldwin in the fifth and an RBI double from sophomore
Jake Berger in the sixth. Following a pair of runs from Cal Poly in the last of the sixth, Narottam came on to record the final 11 outs without allowing a hit.
