FRIENDS ANNUAL GIVING – Donations to a Friends group make an immediate and direct impact on the team, and all gifts receive “Class and Reunion credit” with the Harvard College Fund and count toward the FAS Campaign. To support a Friends group with a contribution, go to GoCrimson.com/support. Select the specific Friends group from the drop down menu when prompted. Gifts may also be made through Harvard’s main online giving site at alumni.harvard.edu. Checks written out to a Friends group should be mailed to Friends of (Sport) at 65 North Harvard St., Boston, MA 02163. Please include a Friends donation form if mailing a check.
HARVARD RADCLIFFE FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN’S ATHLETICS - HRFWA was established in 1981 by the Athletic Department to help provide financial and social support to women's athletic programs at Harvard. HRFWA supports women's programs by distributing funds annually to Friends groups through an incentive plan that encourages women to give to their Friends group. Click here for more information.
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S DISCRETIONARY ENDOWMENT FUNDS – Athletic Director’s Discretionary Endowment Funds are unrestricted gifts designed to allow for long-term flexibility to keep pace with new developments in the field of college athletics. Income from these funds is incremental to the Department’s normal budget. These endowment funds require a minimum contribution of $100,000. Click here for more information.
ENDOWED ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT POSITIONS – In much the same way that an endowed chair supports a university professor, Harvard’s 18 endowed positions within the Department of Athletics help provide the financial support for the Crimson’s 42 varsity teams and free unrestricted funds to benefit the Department and the College as a whole. Endowed positions may be established with a gift of $2 million. Click here for more information.
All gifts to Harvard Athletics will receive Class, Reunion, and FAS Campaign Credit. The Department of Harvard Athletics, the Friends groups and the Harvard Varsity Club encourage all alumni to make an additional annual gift to the Harvard College Fund to support the overall experience for our student-athletes, which includes the College’s commitment to financial aid.
