Dr. Lars Richardson
Hometown: Jamaica Plain, Mass.

Richardson is a 1991 graduate of Harvard University and has been associated with the athletic department in many capacities over the past decade.

Richardson grew up in Hanover, New Hampshire. He attended the local high school, earning letters in lacrosse, soccer, and ice hockey. He attended Harvard College where he played lacrosse and was president of the Delphi club and then Columbia Medical School where he was captain of the rugby team. He completed his residency in the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program as chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital where he ran the West Trauma Service. He then completed six month's training in foot and ankle surgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by a year long sports medicine fellowship where he worked taking care of the Boston Bruins, New England Patriots, and the athletic teams at Harvard College.

Dr. Richardson specializes mainly in athletic injuries and traumatic injuries of the knee, ankle and shoulder. His surgical interests include arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery and fracture care.

He is currently involved with multiple local teams, including the Boston Bruins, the varsity sports at Harvard College, Wheelock College, Simmons College and Beaver Country Day High School.

Dr. Richardson lives in Jamaica Plain. He plays men's league hockey, enjoys golfing, books and anything involving the ocean.
