Luke Walczewski is an Assistant Director of Athletics, a position he has held since 2010. Walczewski joined Harvard’s athletic department in January of 2009 working in compliance before transferring to a role as travel coordinator. He was promoted to his current position in the summer of 2010. 

Walczewski handles scheduling for Harvard’s 41 athletic teams and serves as a liaison for men’s and women’s fencing, as well as assisting with men’s and women’s hockey, men’s and women’s volleyball, baseball and softball. He also supervises team travel for all of Harvard’s athletic teams. 

In addition to his duties with the athletic department, Walczewski lives in residence as an advisor at Kirkland House at the University, which houses approximately 400 sophomores, juniors and seniors. His responsibilities include academic advising, pre-professional advising for the pre-law program, acting as director for the Kirkland intramural sports program and serving as the chair of the Humanities Hiring Committee and as a member of the Resident Dean Hiring Committee. 

Walczewski earned his B.S. in finance from Truman State University in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from the Washington University (St. Louis) School of Law in 2006. Before his career in college athletic administration, he worked as an educator and as an attorney. Walczewski lives in Kirkland House with his wife Erin and their son Jack.
