Lindsey Darvin will serve as an Athletic Events Intern at
Harvard during the 2013-14 academic year.
Darvin comes to Cambridge from Colorado Springs, Colo., where she spent the summer as an Operations Intern for the United States Olympic Committee. While providing direct support for the USOC’s Operations Department, Darvin helped coordinate logistics for camps and clinics at the Olympic Training Center, along with National Governing Bodies. She initiated programs for Olympic and Paralympic athletes and national camps, coordinated travel logistics and updated databases. Darvin also extended her role to work with USA National Team training camps as a volunteer to assist with daily practices and in-game statistics, among other tasks.
Prior to her role with the USOC, Darvin worked as a Recreation Building Supervisor at the University of Massachussetts. She managed daily operations of the rec center and supervised as many as 15 employees.
Darvin also has experience with USA Women’s Basketball (staff volunteer), Hampshire College (Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach), Villanova University (Business and Travel Office Intern) and Drexel University (Athletic Academic Services Intern).
The Gladstone, N.J., native graduated from Bryn Mawr College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She played basketball and lacrosse for the Owls, before moving on to the University of Massachusetts to pursue her master’s degree. Darvin expects to graduate from UMass with a master’s in sports management in 2014.
