Imry Halevi joined Harvard in November, 2012 as the Director of Multimedia & Production - the first such position within the Ivy League. Halevi directs all video efforts within the structure of the Athletic Communications Department.
Halevi came to Harvard from Northeastern University where he most recently served as an Associate Director of Video Production. There, he directed live event broadcasting, post-production, branding and graphic design for the Huskies while overseeing hiring and training for the video production team and managing capital and operating production budgets for the Athletics department.
Halevi's is a member of the College Sports Summit Advisory
Board, with his work at Northeastern often featured by the Sports
Video Group.
Halevi built Northeastern’s video archives and coordinated
content distribution with national media outlets. His productions
have been featured on ESPN, Comcast SportsNet, NESN and multiple
local network affiliates.
While at Northeastern, Halevi produced the first ever collegiate
women’s ice hockey game on the ESPN family of networks, and
served as the executive producer for all Northeastern broadcasts on
ESPN3. Under Halevi’s direction, the video production team
produced over 100 annual broadcasts, which were watched by 30,000
viewers during the 2011-2012 season.
Halevi led the re-branding efforts at Northeastern Athletics in
2009, a process that streamlined and simplified the marks and
branding guide for the department. Additionally, Halevi coordinated
the development process for the Huskies’ iOS mobile app, in
use by over 10,000 users.
Before coming to Northeastern, Halevi served as video production
and graphic design assistant at Boston University’s Agganis
Arena, where he created commercial spots for national and local
television broadcasts, and produced original content for the
center-hung video board at the 6,000-seat arena.
Halevi holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and
a Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University.
A native of Maccabim, Israel, Halevi lives with his wife, Barbara,
and daughter, Clara, in Brookline, Mass.
