Men's Lacrosse Reaches Out to the Cambridge Community
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- In the past few weeks, the
Harvard men's lacrosse team participated in two events with a goal
to reach out to the Cambridge community.
On Thursday, January 22, several members of of the team visited the
local Boys and Girls Club of Cambridge. The team brought along a
few sticks and taught the children basic lacrosse skills and how to
play the game.
The players also balanced their time in other areas with the kids
including playing pool, basketball, and other fun activities. The
children enjoyed having the team there to play with, and look
forward to meeting up with the players again in the near
future.
On the following weekend, approximately 25 of the Crimson players
traveled to two sites in the local Boston area to help build houses
with Habitat for Humanity. Through the cold, winter weather, the
players spent the entire day installing rafters and insulation, and
putting up wall frames.
