Beren Tennis Center
Emergency Communication
1. A fixed telephone line at monitors desk (617) 496-2476
2. It is recommended that a person be designated to have a fully charged cellular phone with them at all times.
Emergency Equipment
1. An AED for public access is located at the front desk of the Beren Tennis Center.
Emergency Personnel Roles
1. Immediate care of injured or ill student-athlete.
2. Activation of emergency medical system (EMS).
- Call 911 or Professional Ambulance at (617) 492-2700 (provide name, location, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, first aid treatment, specific directions, other information as requested, hang up last!).
- Notify Harvard University Police Department at (617) 495-1212.
3. Direction of EMS to scene.
- Open appropriate gates.
- Designate individual to "flag down" EMS and direct to scene.
- Scene control: limit scene to first aid responders and move bystanders away from area.
Venue Directions
The Beren Tennis Center is located in the athletic complex at Harvard University on North Harvard Street in Allston. Access to the athletic complex is gained through Gate 6 from North Harvard Street. Entrance into the Tennis Center is gained through the Beren Tennis Pavilion.
