A native of Bend, Oregon, Zach Reynolds joins Harvard Athletics as a communications intern after spending a year at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Reynolds will receive his master’s degree in sport leadership from the VCU Center for Sport Leadership upon completion of the internship.
At Harvard, Reynolds will serve as the primary contact for men’s and women’s fencing, sailing, women’s tennis and men’s volleyball, and as the secondary contact for men’s hockey and women’s basketball.
While at VCU, Reynolds worked as a graduate assistant with athletic communications, and spent his time primarily with the soccer, basketball, and baseball programs, though he gained experience with each of VCU’s 15 varsity teams. Reynolds served as the primary media contact for men’s soccer, as the team made an NCAA Tournament appearance. He also traveled to San Diego to assist with the men’s basketball team’s NCAA Tournament first round action.
Prior to his stay at VCU, Reynolds received his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University in exercise and sport science, with a concentration in physical education. In addition to his work with athletic communications, Reynolds serves as an NBA writer for TheLotteryMafia.com, and has also contributed for ProBasketballDraft.com. The emphasis of his writing for both websites has been centered on the NBA Draft.
