Bryce Aiken of the men’s basketball team has been named the COOP Student-Athlete of the Week for the span of Nov. 7-12.
Aiken became Harvard’s first player to score 30 points in a game since Wesley Saunders ’15, guiding Harvard to a 70-67 win over UMass. The sophomore guard averaged 21 points on the weekend, helping Harvard to a 2-0 start. He not only hit the game-winner in overtime with 1.9 seconds left against the Minutemen, but also scored 12 of Harvard’s last 16 points. The 30 points was a career-best, and he also set a new career-best with eight rebounds against UMass.
