Maddie Earle of the field hockey team has been selected as the COOP Student-Athlete of the Week for the span of Sept. 11-17.
Earle had a standout weekend for Harvard, leading the team with three goals and six points in two wins against Northeastern and New Hampshire. Earle was part of an early outburst for the Crimson against Northeastern on Friday night, putting in her own rebound just 8:17 into the game to give Harvard a 3-0 lead in an eventual 7-3 win over the Huskies.
On Sunday against UNH, Earle notched her first career two-goal game, helping Harvard break a scoreless tie in the second half with two goals in a span of 2:29 midway through the frame. Earle scored her first goal on a redirection in front. Her second goal came on a reverse stick shot to help Harvard earn a 3-0 win.
Harvard field hockey is back in action on Sept. 23 as they face Ivy League opponent Yale on the road at 1 p.m.
