Amy He - Women's Tennis

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Amy He of the No. 68 women’s tennis team has been named the Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 24.

Trailing, 3-0, He and the women’s team scored four straight points to stage a 4-3 comeback nonconference upset over No. 11 Clemson. In doubles action, He and teammate Amanda Lin evened the match score at one with an, 8-7 victory of Clemson’s Yilynn Miao and Jessy Rompies. He and Miao then faced off in singles play, where the sophomore dropped the set, 5-7 and won the second, 6-1 to force a third set. He came away with a 6-2 decision in set three and secured the upset for the Crimson. The win marks Harvard’s first win over a top-15 opponent under the guidance of head coach Traci Green.

Harvard takes a month off before its spring break to the Golden State which features three matches over five days at Cal State Northridge, San Diego State and Long Beach State.
