CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Marissa Gedman of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for Dec. 2.
Gedman scored a goal and registered two assists as Harvard powered past Dartmouth, 5-0, Sunday at Bright-Landry Hockey Center. The junior captain tallied her first assist on a power play goal 14:59 into the first period to give the Crimson an early lead. The Framingham, Mass., native handed out her second helper with 3:35 to go in the second, before she found the back of the net at the end of the final period to give Harvard a, 4-0 lead.
The Crimson improve to 8-1-1 overall and 7-1-1 in conference play. Harvard will return to action this weekend for a pair of nonconference contests against New Hampshire on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., and looks to ‘White the Bright’ against Boston College on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m.
