CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer of the women’s ice hockey team has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 11.
The Bruderheim, Alberta native anchored the Crimson defense to a 2-0 weekend as Harvard downed St. Lawrence and No. 6 Clarkson on the road. Maschmeyer collected 26 saves against the Saints before turning away 33 more shots to record her third shutout of the season and defeat the Golden Knights. The sophomore garnered her second ECAC Goaltender of the Week honor of the season for her stellar weekend performance. Harvard improves to 5-1 overall and in conference play.
The women’s ice hockey team returns to action Friday, Nov. 6, for a pair of ECAC showdowns against No. 3 Cornell and Colgate.
