CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior tight end Cameron Brate of the football team has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 21.
Brate contributed four receptions for 34 yards and two scores in the, 35-16, victory over Lafayette last weekend as Harvard improved to 5-0 for the second straight year. The Naperville, Ill., native helped put the Crimson on the board in the first frame when Harvard faked a field goal. On the play, quarterback Michael Pruneau took the snap rolled to his right and found Brate standing alone in the back corner of the end zone. The senior helped secure the win in the fourth when he caught a 15-yard pass for his second touchdown of the day.
Up next, Harvard hosts Princeton in a 1 p.m. showdown at Harvard Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 26.
