CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Noah Harrison of the Harvard water polo team has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for Sept. 23.
The Huntington Beach, Calif.,
native led the Crimson offense this weekend as the team went 2-1
against Collegiate Water Polo Association rivals Fordham, Iona and
No. 14 St. Francis. Harrison tallied a team-high nine goals
in three games. He found the back of the net five times in the St.
Francis match to give Harvard its first win against the Terriers
since 2002. The 14-11 win also snapped an 11-year home win-streak
at SFU Aquatic Center for the Terriers. The sophomore scored in all
three matches this weekend and currently leads the team with 26
goals and 31 steals.
Harvard returns to action this weekend as the squad hosts Connecticut College, Brown, and MIT at Blodgett Pool.
