CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second time this year, freshman Emerance Maschmeyer has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week.
In the ECAC quarterfinal series against Dartmouth, Maschmeyer recorded back-to-back shutouts to lift the Crimson into the tournament semifinals. She made 21 saves against the Big Green Friday night to give Harvard a 1-0 lead in the series. The Alberta native turned away 18 more shots the next day in a 4-0 win to send the third-seeded Crimson on to the semifinals Saturday against Clarkson at 4 p.m. in Ithaca, N.Y.
In 17 starts this season, Maschmeyer has recorded an 11-4-2 mark with a .939 save percentage and a 1.27 goals against average.
