CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's hockey freshman goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer has been named the COOP Athlete of the Week for Nov. 5. In her second collegiate start, the Alberta native stopped 12 shots against Yale to earn her first shutout in a 4-0 win. On the year, Maschmeyer is 2-0-0 with a .50 goals against average for the No. 6 Crimson.
The Crimson is out to a 4-0 start for the fourth time in program history and first time since 2007-08. Harvard has also won four straight road games to open the season for the first time since 2007-08, the only other time the Crimson accomplished the feat.
Harvard returns to action Nov. 18 at Boston University.
