Ben Glauser, Men’s Track and Field
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Ben Glauser, a
freshman on the Harvard men’s track and field team, was named
the Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week for May 7. Glauser was part of
a strong effort from the Harvard throwing squad that combined for
85 points at the Heptagonal Championship. The Atlanta, Ga., native
broke a 43-year old school record with a second-place throw of 58'
11.5" (17.97m) in the shot put. He also earned a spot on the
All-Ivy League second team with a runner-up mark of 195' (59.45m)
in the hammer, almost a meter further than his previous best and
good for the ninth-best distance in team history.
