Laura Gemmell, Women’s Squash

Laura Gemmell is the Harvard COOP athlete of the week, for the week ending Jan. 31. Gemmell posted two wins at the top position in the week to spur the No. 1 Crimson past No. 2 Trinity and No. 6 Stanford. The freshman rolled through both matches, winning in straight games. Gemmell, ranked No. 3 in the College Squash Association individual poll, defeated Pamela Hathway of Trinity, the top-ranked player in the CSA rankings. Gemmell now stands at 5-0 on the season at the No. 1 spot.
