This Hole or That Hole Goes for Second Straight Win Wednesday

This Hole or That Hole is in search of its second straight win Wednesday at North Star (Grenald Talbot).

Story Line
This Hole or That Hole will continue its playoff push as it takes on Balding Eagles Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 9 p.m. at the North Star.

Last Time Out
This Hole or That Hole cruised to a 2-0 victory over Better Late Than Never last Wednesday by scores of 21-0, 21-8. This Hole or That Hole built an insurmountable lead in the first game as Better Late Than Never struggled to find its footing. The tandem of Elizabeth and Maura fared marginally better in the second game, but the sharp shooting accuracy of Brett Moore and the timely scoring of Andy Chesebro held the visitors at bay for the victory.

“I contemplated starting to shoot with my left hand, but I realized that wouldn’t make much of a difference,” elated Moore following the win. “Better Late Than Never’s bags performance was poor, but their drinking ability greatly exceed expectations. It’s debatable as to which is more important.”

Just Keep Winning
This Hole of That Hole enters play Wednesday with a one-match winning streak after sweeping Better Late Than Never. This Hole or that Hole has yet to lose a game this season, and will look to continue its perfect streak Wednesday against Balding Eagles.

This Hole or That Hole has won each game this season by an average margin of 17 points, easily the largest margin of victory in the Wednesday Cornhole at North Star league.

Scouting Balding Eagles (0-0)
Balding Eagles will be making its season debut Wednesday after You Just Got Beat by Two Girls failed to show in week one. The duo of Joshua and John seem the odds on favorite to end This Hole or That Hole’s unbeaten streak, however, their lack of time on the court this season could be a factor.

“We are expecting stiffer competition this week but we feel our experience last week will give us an upper hand,” commented team captain Andy Chesebro. “We are looking forward to the challenge and to potentially locking up a postseason berth early in the regular season.”

Taking Home the Honors
Brett Moore was named the Wednesday Cornhole at North Star Player of the Week for his performance in the opening round of play. Moore anchored This Hole or That Hole to a sweep of Better Late Than Never, consistently outscoring his board mate, Elizabeth. This is the first weekly honor or Moore’s career.

Pitcher Perfect
Not only does This Hole or That Hole sit atop the Wednesday Cornhole at North Star standings, the squad also leads the league in pitchers drank. Moore and Chesebro got off to a strong start in week one, crushing the first pitcher before the games even began. The pair took down pitchers number two and three during their victory over Better Late Than Never, and added two more pitchers to their tally during the post-match celebration. Look for This Hole or That Hole to add to its lead in week two.

Captain of the Ship
Andy Chesebro was voted team captain of This Hole or That Hole prior to the 2012 season. Chesebro has more than eight years of bags experience after first wetting his whistle as an undergraduate at Niagara University.
